What is a digital credential?

A digital credential is a concert ticket, festival pass or access entitlement stored on a smartphone or smartwatch. It can be delivered through a native mobile wallet or a branded event app and validated at the entrance.

Do attendees need to download an app?

Not when tickets are delivered through Apple Wallet, Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet. Attendees can add the ticket to the wallet already available on their device. A branded event or festival app is an additional option for organisers that want extended ticket-management functions.

Which mobile wallets are supported?

SKIDATA NFC eTicketing supports Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet. Support depends on the device, operating system and selected ticketing setup.

Can the solution support single concerts and multi-day festivals?

How does SKIDATA connect with an existing ticketing system?

The ticketing system requests an NFC token from the SKIDATA eTicketing service. The attendee then receives the digital ticket and stores it in the selected wallet or app before presenting it at the entrance.

How are digital credentials validated?

The attendee presents the smartphone or smartwatch at a compatible SKIDATA reader. The access system checks the credential and its access rights before allowing entry.

Can digital tickets be transferred?
