The Stadium de Toulouse operates three main entrances equipped with approximately 50 sMove gates and 49 handheld PDAs deployed throughout the venue.
Since modernizing its access control with SKIDATA, the stadium can fill to capacity in just one hour - even under the pressure of late-arriving fans concentrated in the final 30 minutes before a match.
Real-time data is at the heart of the stadium's operational strategy. Fans enter via QR code - whether on their mobile through a mobile ticket, print-at-home, or collected at the box office - and every scan feeds into a live operational picture.
By connecting its PDA fleet via private 5G, the operations team gains accurate, live attendance figures and can monitor the stadium's fill rate at any given moment.
This granular visibility allows staff to reallocate PDAs dynamically depending on the event, ensuring resources are always where they're needed most.
SKIDATA has been a partner to Toulouse Métropole since 2015, and the cloud-accessible platform gives the stadium team the freedom to run system tests, anticipate issues, and make adjustments remotely - without needing to be physically on-site.
Looking ahead, the stadium plans to concentrate main access flow through sMove gates while deploying PDAs for inner-door security reinforcement, moving toward a double-check perimeter model increasingly demanded by event organizers.
