Melanie learned textile design but never practiced professionally. Her first job was with SKIDATA in 1998. She started in Consumer Products and has worked in many departments since then; Parking, Service Logistics, and, currently, Central Order Management. "With the companies support, I've always been able to grow professionally and take on new challenges. The work's never boring." As the mother of two teenagers, she's pleased to report that, "at SKIDATA, I was also able to find a healthy work and family-life balance." Melanie is also a hobby beekeeper, maintaining five beehives at home, and she recently expanded her beekeeping to SKIDATA headquarters. Her colleagues are already looking forward to their first taste of the locally-produced SKIDATA flower and forest honey.
Gabi loves challenges. She had barely completed her training as an office clerk at SKIDATA when she started a specialist training course in Human Resources and then rebuilt the company's training department. When she was only 24, she took over responsibility for apprentice training– a great combination of her new creative ideas and the experience of many years as an employee. After the birth of her son, she returned to her profession with new organizational skills and took on a new role as HR Specialist, and she is now responsible for Personnel Development. "I can only manage the balancing act of combining family and career because I can be flexible in my work at SKIDATA and do everything I do with passion," she says. In her free time, she also enjoys sewing clothes for her son and herself, a skill she taught herself as another use of her creative talents.

In his free time he travels by bike and during the summer spend weekends on his boat.

Martin joined SKIDATA in 2012 as Head of Supply Chain Management. Born in Bavaria, the desire for change drove him south: "Taking responsibility in a medium-sized company like SKIDATA has always been my goal. Supply chain management – with a focus on purchasing, order processing, logistics and production planning – is one of the most exciting areas. Owing to the different operational tasks and strategic topics it never gets boring." Team spirit, the independence of his employees, intercultural understanding and also relaxed conversation with colleagues are really important for Martin.
