The “Work From Any Group Location” programme lets Kudelski Group employees, which includes people at SKIDATA, work anywhere in the world and expand their network around the globe.
Who doesn’t dream of working in another country for a while and expanding their professional network around the world? At SKIDATA, that dream can become a reality. With the “Work From Any Group Location” program, we enable our employees to take their professional journey literally around the world.
This flexible program lets employees work in a Kudelski Group office abroad and get to know the international professional world. They can still perform their normal duties, depending on their position and in consultation with management. Where possible, they work in host teams with whom they have already collaborated on international projects, developing a closer relationship with them. The program offers a unique opportunity to strengthen the network of over 3,200 Kudelski Group employees around the world, foster collaboration, learn about other cultures, and gain a deeper insight into the Group’s various offices.
Personal initiative counts
Employees’ own engagement and initiative are crucial to making a trip possible. They choose their preferred destination and organize travel on their own. With the approval of their managers, they can combine work and leisure.
The Kudelski Group is present in numerous countries on all continents. Through the "Work From Any Group Location" program, Group employees can work from virtually any office, provided the infrastructure allows it and their supervisors agree. In the event of timezone differences, employees agree in advance with team management on how participation in meetings will be organized.
Adventures abroad
A number of SKIDATA employees have already benefited from this exciting program. For example, Sabrina and Julian chose Tokyo in Japan, while Robert traveled to Australia for a month to work in Sydney. Owing to the eight-hour time difference, his first meetings with Austria did not start until the afternoon. To be easier to contact, he adjusted his working hours, coming into the office later and working longer in the evening. “By starting work later, I had time in the morning to explore the surrounding area a little”, says Robert, who then traveled to Tasmania and Queensland with his fiancée. He is just as enthusiastic about Australia, its people, and its climate as he is about his experience working there: “The timezone difference allowed me to focus even more on my tasks and experience what working in another country is like.”
There are also exciting options in Europe. Stefan spent two months in Portugal, working in the Lisbon office and traveling to the Algarve and the Azores. Andreas is planning a working stay in Holland.
No matter which country our employees choose, “Work From Any Group Location” promotes professional development and offers the chance to discover new cultures and locations within the SKIDATA Group. It’s a win-win situation for anyone looking to broaden their professional and personal horizons.
