Stadia and event venues can operate at full capacity again

For stadium operators, it’s a quantum leap towards ensuring safety at public events: the fans at Bayern München’s Allianz Arena in Munich are the first ones worldwide to self-check their admission ticket along with their Green Pass directly at the turnstile. To make it all possible, SKIDATA, the only provider worldwide to offer this service, extended its previously installed touchless access solution to add automated Green Pass scanning.

As a result, fans are once again free to applaud the goals, discuss the umpire’s decisions and cheer on their favorite team in the company of friends. In short, they are finally able to enjoy a proper game of soccer again! And they can do so with the reassurance that everyone is vaccinated, recovered or tested. A quick double-check and they’re off to the kick-off!

Perfect premiere and a great fan experience at the Allianz Arena

Oliver Meßthaler, Bayern München’s Director Ticketing Service, Security and Facility Management, couldn’t be happier: “The Green pass solution, which was developed in close cooperation between SKIDATA and FC Bayern München, worked exactly as it should. Admission to the game on Saturday was trouble-free. It was just perfect. With the green pass solution, we are at the forefront! All other so-called “solutions” with the need of much staff for additional manually operated control are out of question for us as they are not sustainable. We know we can rely on SKIDATA, especially when it comes to new, groundbreaking solutions.”

Greenpass solution is easy to integrate for operators

With their solution, SKIDATA has made it possible for operators of stadia, leisure parks, museums and other event venues to safely admit fans and visitors – without the need for extra staff or an additional app. The Green pass solution integrates seamlessly into the SKIDATA access system. This way, the safety of visitors and the venue is guaranteed, while the strictly GDPR compliant processing of ticket and access data helps to prevent ticket fraud.
