Orlando, FL – November 18, 2025 – SKIDATA (IAAPA booth #4252) unveils a mobile kit for its award-winning sMove Wave and sMove Turn at IAAPA Expo 2025 that creates a modern movable entrance system for a better visitor experience. Consisting of a set of components, the mobile kit brings the inherent advantages of sMove – including a frictionless, efficient access experience for rapid throughput – to events and other amusement and entertainment venues.

Ideal for Open-air Concerts, Events, and VIP Entrances

Flexible and easy to handle, the sMove with mobile kit requires no handhelds or extra staff, making it ideal for open-air concerts, events, and VIP entrances. It operates continuously for up to eight hours (approx. 700 accesses/hour). SKIDATA integrated a number of innovations to enhance performance. For example, a “hot swap” battery exchange incorporates a magnetic system that allows batteries to be changed in 10 seconds for continuous use of the access gate.

The sMove mobile access gate can only be turned off by authorized personnel, creating a safe and efficient entry process. As is the case with all sMove Wave installations, the mobile solution is ADA-compliant.

Transforming Guest Access

The sMove access gate transforms guest reception areas into welcoming spaces of comfort and security. It ensures a frictionless, efficient access experience, maximizing throughput rapidly. Its wide, inclusive design comfortably accommodates strollers, ski gear, and provides barrier-free, independent access for wheelchair users. Flexible controls allow all visitors to enter seamlessly through the same passage without assistance.

Innovative, Inclusive Design

sMove is a transformative solution due to its innovative design that has earned multiple awards, including Red Dot: Best of the Best, International Design Excellence (IDEA), GOOD DESIGN AWARD, and Golden A Design Award. The soft Wave barrier element is central to sMove’s design, robustness, and durability. Its modular, visually appealing format meets the highest international safety standards, offering unmatched flexibility to operators at mountain destinations, stadiums, arenas, and theme parks. The system is also fully compatible with multiple recognition technologies, including barcode and QR scanning, RFID, NFC, Bluetooth, and facial recognition.

Efficient, Globally Available Technology

The mobile kit includes two standard CAS battery packs with Wi-Fi, pallet with flaps, and a cable kit. The CAS battery is a multi-brand system based on Metabo technology that is designed to withstand the toughest environments. They are compatible with over 45 brands and 450 machines, offering global availability and saving users time and money.
