Commend and SKIDATA take stock in joint "Competing for Togetherness" charity run.
The distance covered by select running teams of Commend and SKIDATA in their joint running challenge in aid of the Salzburg Children's Cancer Research Fund extends to the other end of the world. With an average 160 km covered per day, the final tally of 14,450 km corresponds to the distance from Austria to Australia (Cairns, to be exact). Spurned on by the charitable cause of the competition, both teams were in top form and high spirits.
In the end, SKIDATA came out ahead in terms of total distance in an otherwise close and thoroughly exciting race. Both teams are looking forward to next year's challenge to keep on running for a good cause.
Organisers and the sponsors of the Salzburg Business Run (Audi, Salzburg Wohnbau, Salzburger Nachrichten, Arbeitskammer ARGE Betriebssport) had spontaneously decided to support the event with a generous donation.
Today, in the presence of organisers and Sponsors of the Salzburg Business Run, its initiator, Michael Mayrhofer, together with SKIDATA's CEO Hugo Rohner and Commend's Managing Director Gerhard Sigl, handed over the donated sum to Heide Janik, Chairlady of the Salzburg Children's Cancer Research Fund.
