You coordinate and supervise an agile development team working on a scalable, microservices-based eCommerce solution. You will work closely with international key players and stakeholders of the product. In your role as an architect, you will be a member of a product team that takes end-to-end responsibility from analysis, design and implementation up to deployment of the services. You will also review the technical design and implementation of core components from an architectural perspective and in terms of compliance with standards and guidelines. You advise the development team as well as our international customers in solving technical problems and provide your expertise. You enjoy making a valuable contribution to shaping the high quality of our innovative products and thus guaranteeing the satisfaction of our customers in the future.


  • Solid computer science education and/or related professional experience
  • Excellent Java and JEE skills (5+ years of experience).
  • Very good knowledge of modern web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular...).
  • Solid knowledge and experiences with established frameworks and platforms (e.g. Spring/Boot, Spring/Cloud, RMQ etc.)
  • Good general IT knowledge (operating systems, network technologies, distributed systems and cloud computing).
  • Proven experience in design, implementation and operation of scalable cloud services
  • Good knowledge and experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Scaling Agile, etc.) and agile technical practices (e.g. CI/CD, TDD).
  • Ideally experience in project management - e.g. technical lead of a small development team.
  • Experience with microservices and event-based architectures.
  • Experience with container and cluster technologies (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes).
  • Databases (Postgres, NoSQL)
  • Experience in API design (especially REST services)
  • Ideally experience of working in a Scrum team
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Good communication skills and like to work in a team

Your minimum salary will be determined with reference to the collective agreement (employment group F, position on incremental scale according to individual experience)
