Marica is the Operations Manager at SKIDATA Nordic. Her team is spread across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, a challenge she embraces with enthusiasm.

Since November 2022, Marica has been leading the project management team and the service/support team in the Nordic countries. Among the thirteen team members, just over half work at the main headquarters in Karlstad, Sweden, with the remainder in other parts of Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. "We're a bit scattered, which is also a challenge. But I highly value working in an international company with diverse cultures and helpful colleagues all around the world," says Marica.

A Wealth of Experience from Different Fields

Before her time at SKIDATA, Marica worked in both the finance and IT sectors. After numerous stints in various cities and countries, the Swede returned to her hometown in 2012. Her diverse experiences and roles prepared her for her current position, where she can utilize her multifaceted skills and knowledge. Marica emphasizes that flexibility and adaptability are crucial in her role. Meetings and planned tasks can often be overshadowed by unexpected urgent requests, requiring smart prioritization and a focus on long-term strategic goals. "Our main priority is continuously improving our workflows to provide even better service to our customers."

Passion for People and Technology

Marica enjoys working in an industry that demands a broad range of skills. She views her agile team in the Nordic region as highly competent and dedicated. "The Scandinavian Service Team is outstanding," Marica says, explaining, "The diversity of skills and the need for continuous adaptation are both challenging and fulfilling." Team members must be well-versed in software and hardware, installations as well as customer support. Their motivation lies in meeting and exceeding customer expectations, facilitated by the open culture at SKIDATA: "It's very easy to reach out to others and get help. We're all learning every day."

Desire for More Women

Apart from her professional pursuits, Marica finds balance in sports and nature. She recently found a new interest in golf, and another favorite sports activity is padel. In winter, she enjoys cross-country and downhill skiing. Most of the spare time is however spent on her childrens sports activities. Balancing work and family requires careful planning, aided by the fact that she lives nearby with both her parents and her husband's parents.
Marica sets a strong example of how leadership responsibilities and family life can coexist harmoniously. With three children, she impressively demonstrates that both aspects can be successful together. Her aspiration is to see more talented women joining the Scandinavian team. Currently, three female employees work in the Nordic countries, whereof only herself in a service role – a number that, in Marica's opinion, should significantly increase.
