Release V18.02.00
Coder Basic ‘OPOS’ for operation on manual cash desks
The Coder Basic ‚OPOS’ (coding unit without stacker), which is mainly used for external presale stations, can now also be used on the standard cash desk.
This cheap coder alternative is especially attractive for points of sale that are not operated full time or have a low amount of issued tickets.
Control keyboard with USB connector for manual cash desks
The usual control keyboard for the standard cash desk is now also available with a USB connector. This follows the changes on the PC market, as some actual models are no longer equipped with a PS2 connector.
The new keyboard type saves your investments and ensures compatibility.
Active calendar
The calendar in the main POS user interface shows the selected permission validity duration coloured. This is an additional security feature for the cashiers to prevent the selection of wrong dates.
Furthermore, the input mask for the D+/- (pre- backdating) function contains an active calendar for direct clicking of the permissions begin date. After confirmation of the dialogue the POS main user interface shows the appropriate permission validity duration coloured as described.
Deletion of blockings possible by any cashier
In the usual practice blockings could be deleted only either at the cash desk where they had been entered, or globally at the datacentral.
If assigned with the right functional permission, each cashier can now delete foreign blockings (which means also blockings that have been entered on a different cash desk or at the datacentral).
This function is a good possibility to accelerate the treatment of blockings within the resort and make it more flexible.
Convenient mode for automatic return of keycards
An own return mode at the standard POS enables the cashier a fast handling of a large quantity of return transactions (= cancellation of article sales). If this mode is activated, all supplied keycards at the coding unit will be automatically cancelled (similar function like at the keycard return machine).
This mode leads to a faster and especially faultless handling, as the cashier does not have to enter the cancellation transactions manually any more.
Issuing of barcode tickets at the receipt printer
Barcode tickets can be issued very cost-effective also on the standard receipt printer Epson TM-T88, and be read at the Freemotion reader afterwards.
As this printers paper is not water resistant, this function is only recommended for summer time operation and for short-time tickets (e.g. single rides).
As the issued barcoded paper receipts can neither be read at the receipt printer nor at the standard coding unit, all special transactions like cancellation etc. have to be done manually.
Furthermore, a control reading of the printed barcode information is not possible, as the receipt printer hardware does not support this kind of action.
Customer account details at the superdatacentral
A central enquiry possibility for customer account details of the superdatacentral gives a fast and complete overview over the customers transactions within the entire pool.
Article sales in the ticket tracking
Article sales as addition to permission sales (e.g. insurances) are now also shown in the ticket tracking, which enhances the information content of the ticket tracking and its usability.
Combination of primecards in one transaction
Sales on primecards can be combined in one single transaction. This is especially an advantage for sales with credit card payment, which can then be processed faster and easier.
Switching off possibility for general saving of manually entered city names
For the entering of customers addresses, the system provides a central table with all official default values for the assignment of city names to postal codes (e.g. 1130 -> Vienna).
The cashiers have the flexible possibility not to take the suggested city names but manually enter a different one, which per default have been saved and overtaken into the default value table and therefore suggested by the system for future transactions.
Practical experiences have shown that during months and years of operation too many different and manually entered city names blowed up the defaults table even with misspelled names, which made this content neither senseful nor clear.
This new optional function allows to switch off this mode: manually entered city names will not be stored for future transactions but only taken for the actual one. This avoids too many different names and supports the uniformity of address inputs.
Price suppression at the customer display for customer account transactions
If requested that way, with corresponding configuration the price for customer account transactions is not shown at the customer display.
Transaction number printed on customer account payment receipt
The printing of the unique transaction number on all customer account receipts allows for an easier localisation of the appropriate transaction in the system if the guest requests a checkback later.
Release V17.03.00
The integration into the POS system of „Coder Unlimited/Desktop“ with fanfold and continuous ticket production (no separation of individual tickets) allows for fast production of inexpensive barcoded tickets.
This payment solution is suitable especially for resorts with a focus on summertime op-eration, which mostly issue low-use tickets such as single rides.
On-line ticket tracking with MagicCube
On-line ticket tracking (available for POS and MiniCentral) has been linked with the ticket tracking feature of the MagicCube server to simplify the trackability of permissions in “compatible” resorts.
Displaying of OPOS.Cash name in On-line Ticket Tracking
This feature identifies the exact POS name of the pre-sale station in the ticket tracking view. This makes it possible to determine exactly by which hotel a particular ticket was issued.
